Fred Stuart is Executive and Artistic Director of the Haymarket Theatre. Fred founded the theatre in 2001 after a long career as a performer and theatre manager in California and New York. Fred was house manager of The Pantages Theatre in Hollywood and The Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco for The Nederlander Organization. Before moving to Lincoln in 2001, Fred was Project Manager for Music Theatre International's educational theatre product line in New York City. Fred is a veteran performer, having appeared in San Francisco's longest running show, Beach Blanket Babylon, for two years in the 1980's and toured extensively with Neo-Swing sensations, Blue Plate Special in the 1990's. Locally, Fred has acted and directed at every major theatre venue in the area. He lives in Lincoln with his wife, Willo and their son Anderson.
