Closer, the second full-length play by Patrick Marber, has been compared to both Harold Pinter's Betrayal and Noel Coward's Private Lives for it's intricate portrayal of lust, desire, and sexual politics. Praised for it's often brutal and honest  language about relationships; Closer delves into the assumption that the absolute truth is compatible with the constructs that we create for romantic relationships. Not for the emotionally squeamish or persons under the age of 18, Closer promises to burrow into the minds of the audience and beckon them to come closer.
